Dr. Tauqeer's research group developed and tested an eco-friendly, water-based formulation for deinking and demetallizing plastic films. Metal recovery and plastic waste recycling will contribute to the reduction of plastic pollution. LUMS gifted this formulation to the Packages Group in recognition of Syed Babar Ali's contributions to nation-building and the Packages Group's role in the economic development of Pakistan.
